You don't have a mission · you are sent. All the rest of the site equips you for the Church; here, we turn toward those outside. Understand why, train to proclaim, serve · and find your place.
Since 1965 the Church has recorded 42.5% net losses: more than four in ten baptized members have left through the “back door.”9 The hard lesson: counting baptisms does not measure the mission — it measures an entrance, not a life.
So here we choose patience, and we measure it differently: not by one month's baptisms, but by two-year retention, by disciples who make disciples of their own, and by relationships kept over time. Everything else in this module serves that standard — the campaign included.
The foundation, the cost, and the limits that keep mission from becoming aggression.
The foundation & overcoming fear ↗You are sent · a sending that costs. Then the examination: the fear you show is not the one that blocks you. The safeguards ↗Six limits (pace, bless and stop, never manipulate, restraint…) and an exercise: mission or manipulation? You learn by playing. Each mistake explains the principle and points you in the right direction.
The 10 steps, online ↗You walk with a person, one step at a time · from your altar to multiplication. The concrete digital gesture at each stage. And when it pushes back? ↗A hostile stranger comments on your post. Responding without winning the debate, moving from public to private. Practise witnessing ↗Five cases — the colleague, the atheist, the sceptic, the anti-Adventist, the hostile comment. You choose, you answer, you see the right move. Graded answers, a score at the end.Verified resources · digital and classic · to take action.
Digital toolbox ↗14 verified French-language Adventist resources: train, share, study with a contact, find inspiration. Classic library ↗The material from your archives, arranged along the life cycle: enter, evangelize, study, make disciples, multiply, retain. Praying for the mission ↗Organizing team intercession around an outreach action: prayer room, prayer walk, supporting the one who proclaims. Decision & baptism, without forcing ↗Reaping through the module's ethic: levels of decision, the appeal as invitation, readiness for baptism, retention. Supporting a campaign ↗The campaign is not the goal, but a moment of harvest within a long process: prepare, run it, and above all the follow-up that keeps people — not the decision that gets counted. What the speaker does not carry alone. Before you set out · where are you, and by what style does God want to send you?
The mission-meter ↗Six ways to witness, drawn from six biblical figures. A self-assessment that reveals your style · and its shadow. « The result is not a label, it is a call. »Concrete frameworks, drawn from major works on mission — to put into practice, not merely to ponder.
Prayer-evangelism in 4 steps (Silvoso). From Luke 10: (1) speak peace — bless the person and their home; (2) fellowship — build a real bond; (3) meet their needs; (4) proclaim the Good News. The steps interlock, each opening the next — never jump straight to step 4.7
Answer a question with a question (Newman). Jesus almost always answered a question with a question; a direct answer was rare. Instead of firing back, ask: “What makes you ask that?”, “What do you mean by that?” — to reach the heart behind the question and step out of debate. People gladly share spiritual ideas, but won’t debate a stranger.5
Evangelism is a process, not an event (McRaney). You plant, water, and weed — before and after conversion. Leave the Christian bubble and enter people’s real lives: that is how you earn the right to be heard. The outcome belongs to God.4
The early-church model (Green). The world was won not by experts but by ordinary believers, home to home, through hospitality and existing networks of relationships. Build on the homes and ties you already have.3
Sovereignty that frees (Packer). Hold two truths together: God alone converts, and you are responsible to proclaim. The first does not kill the second — it carries it: you sow faithfully, God gives the growth. And prayer for the lost proves you truly believe in his sovereignty.1 For evangelism is not a department of the church: it is its central passion.2
The digital field (Domm). Go where people spend their time: be present online, share useful content, build relationship, follow up. Digital is a mission field in its own right.6
The 5 shifts to make disciples (DiscipleShift). (1) from reaching to making disciples; (2) from informing to equipping; (3) from program to purpose; (4) from activity to relationship; (5) from accumulating to deploying. Baptism is not the finish line.8
